“I am passionate about serving the vulnerable in the Vancouver community. The homeless, people with disabilities, the veteran with PTSD, and those living with mental illness. Anyone who is alone and seeking a place where they can find community, purpose and support. Friends of the Carpenter’s Friendship Center offers people the loving, accepting and nurturing community they need to realize their true value. We change lives with love,” shared Tod.

Tod began his tenure on May 3, 2021. He is a life-long resident of Vancouver, Washington. He has 27 years of professional experience working with nonprofit organizations, with development and management as key aspects of his work. Past employers include Muscular Dystrophy Association, United Way of the Columbia Willamette, American Red Cross and other regional nonprofit organizations.

Friends of the Carpenter welcomes community members to serve on its board of directors to support its mission as a non-profit, faith-based day facility that provides safety, structure and a purpose for vulnerable members of our community.

We seek board members who have a strong work ethic, high moral integrity, empathy for those in need and optimism for the future. Individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds are welcomed, including, but not limited to, business management, financial and banking institutions, civil engineering, facilities management, social services, retired military, pastors or staff from local ministries and legal professionals.
