The Friendship Center at Friends of the Carpenter provides an opportunity for participants, volunteers, visitors and staff to engage in a positive, safe environment and build positive relationships through the services being offered by staff and volunteers.

Our doors are open to welcome everyone at 9:00 am and everyone in the facility takes the time to say hello and participate in our Daily Devotions from at 9:30am – 10:00am. Our Daily Devotions include songs, devotional messages from Local pastors and other spiritual leaders and prayer. We welcome speakers from a variety of faith-based churches and organizations.

Other services offered at the Friendship Center include, but not limited to planned activities, table talk discussions, as well as scheduled special event trips in our community. Some of our participants also come to Friends of the Carpenter for showers, haircuts, clothing needs and food. We partner with a variety of non-profit organizations that help support our vulnerable members in our community. Friendship Center hours are from 9:00am – 1:30pm Monday through Friday.

Our Mission: Friends of the Carpenter is a non-profit, faith-based day facility that provides safety, structure and purpose for vulnerable members of our community.

Our Vision: People of all circumstances are accepted, honored and appreciated in our community, and are empowered to live life with dignity, hope and love.

We make wood devotional items at our shelter, but our main product is relationships.  We are changing lives with love – helping those who have encountered many difficulties in life see themselves as people of worth and take that next step in bringing their lives back on track.
